Tim has been with the University since February 2008. Tim came to UA after several years as an electrician. Much of that time he spent installing fire alarm equipment, including UA’s Recreation Center in 2003-2004.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and testing of fire alarm systems and network
  • Manage inspection database
  • Coordinate periodic tests with other department’s interfacing equipment, e.g. Mass Notification, Elevators and HVAC
  • Schedule annual inspections with building representatives
  • Conduct fire drills
  • Assist with coordination of ongoing fire alarm improvements, additions and new construction


  • NICET Level III in Fire Protection Engineering Technology for Fire Alarm Systems
  • NFPA National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code
  • Fiber Optics Specialist/Tester
  • NFPA Inspection, Testing and Maintenance of fire alarm systems
  • ASHI Bloodborne Pathogens, CPR and First Aid
