Shop safety is a very important part of occupational safety. While many of the modern machines are computer interfaced and designed with safety in mind there are still intrinsic dangers associated with their operation. Many of these machines have moving parts and bending or cutting actions. A good proactive shop safety program is vital to the University and should be a fundamental element in protecting employees.
